Cynic grad named host of USA NOW

October 23, 2012

Last year’s Vermont Cynic editor-in-chief, Natalie DiBlasio, has been named host of USA NOW, the new video show of USA Today that had its debut this week.

DiBlasio, who began working as a USA Today breaking news reporter earlier this year, will serve as one of five USA NOW anchors, the 2011 grad said.

“It’s been a really great experience so far, and I have learned a ton about broadcast,” DiBlasio wrote in an email this week. “I am absolutely loving it.”

DiBlasio began her relationship with USA Today in summer 2010 when, while still a Cynic staffer, she interned at the newspaper’s office just outside Washington, D.C.

During her time at UVM, she for a time anchored a regular news show on UVMtv, the university’s student-run television station.

The new anchor’s first video covers topics ranging from the third presidential debate to the third Iron Man movie.
