Students involved in one of UVM’s media organizations or interested in journalism have two courses that might be of interest. Enrollment in these courses is limited, and they fill up fast. If you’re interested, email the professor at firstname.lastname@example.org.
College Media Practicum (CDAE 195): Earn credit for work with The Vermont Cynic, WRUV-FM or UVMtv
- This course gives staff members a chance to earn credit for course assignments related to their work with three UVM student media groups: The Vermont Cynic newspaper, WRUV-FM radio and UVMtv campus television. Students design their own course of study in conjunction with the media adviser, making this course more like an internship or independent study than a standard college course. Students complete 10 weekly assignments, a small midterm project and a longer end-of-term project—all of which can be completed in conjunction with one of the three media groups.
